What has been thrown out — and why

This page shows what has been thrown out of the assessment. It is here because a ranking without its dead is a lie.

Why this is the most important evidence on this site

Every crypto site shows winners. Whoever shows only what is left measures against a selection that already knows the outcome — that is survivorship bias, and here it is quantified: one cohort flipped from 1.405 times to 0.703 times as soon as those that went under were counted in. The same list becomes a gain or a loss depending on whether the dead are left out.

Group 1 — existential risk

Exclusion after the assessment model’s upstream check: the project itself is at risk. One yes is enough, and the score is not even calculated.

IlluviumILVCash runway under twelve months, no committed capitalAugust 27, 2026

Important for Illuvium: the reason is explicitly not tradability. Its two-percent depth stood at 21,315 dollars on August 31, 2026, and thus better than several assets that remain in the assessment. Anyone who confuses the two brings it back for the wrong reason.

Group 2 — no longer sellable

What is measured is the two-percent exit depth: how many dollars can be sold without pushing the price down by more than two percent. The threshold is 25,000 dollars, because otherwise a position between 1,000 and 10,000 euros can no longer be unwound.

For Verasity and VinuChain there are two measurements at different trading venues that differ by a factor of four. Both are far below the threshold, which changes nothing about the outcome — but the exact figure is a snapshot of a few seconds at a few exchanges, not a fixed property. Pepe Unchained would also be below the threshold here; it is in group four, because it would not be assessable even with good tradability.

Five assets are deliberately NOT in this group, although they look conspicuous

For WEPE and STARS the exit depth is not collected, and not collected does not mean zero. For QNT, ATH and ILV the measurement on August 31, 2026 covered two of nineteen trading venues — every one of those figures is a lower bound, not a finding. An asset is only thrown out here once it has been measured, not when it looks suspicious.

Group 3 — excluded by design

Legacy Frax DollarFRAXpegged to the dollar$11,222Exit depth, August 27, 2026
ApeCoinAPEAll-time high within 90 daysOctober 8, 2026
StarknetSTRKAll-time high within 90 days

An asset with a target price of one dollar cannot multiply — that is not a weakness but its design. Related, but still in the assessment: Hedera, Internet Computer, Canton and, since August 27, 2026, Ondo as well are dollar-pegged instead of token-pegged — their product can succeed without the token. They are flagged, not excluded. The difference shows where the line runs.

Group 4 — not assessable

Eight assets run as a category of their own without a score. The reason is not a value judgment but a definition. The assessment model measures substance — supply development, usage, independence. A token with no claimed use has none of that, and a catalog that scores it measures nothing.

What was measured for each of these eight assets →

And the uncomfortable part: the biggest multipliers of the past had no foundation at all. Whoever filters by application excludes them systematically. That is not a flaw of the filter but its definition.

Who comes back in

Every line here carries a date, because liquidity changes. Whoever reaches the threshold again at a later measurement comes back. On August 29, 2026 that happened six times: XAI, CGPT, FLUX, PORTAL, HOT and NEXO have been back in the assessment since then.

What they are for, high, low and cycles

Excluded does not mean unmeasured. These six assets have no page of their own, but they carry the same figures here as every profile — what they are for, the contract address, the highest and the lowest daily close, the distance to each and the four cycles.
