2. What happens when the page is loaded

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. In doing so Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data: the IP address of your connection, date and time, the file requested, the browser type transmitted and the status message of the server. Without this data a page cannot be delivered technically.

Legal basis: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO — Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation. The legitimate interest is operating the site and protecting it against overload and attacks.

Storage period: How long Cloudflare keeps this connection data is determined by Cloudflare. We have no access to these logs, we do not retrieve them and we do not evaluate them.

3. Price data — and why your address is not passed on with it

The site shows prices from CoinMarketCap. That request is made not by your browser but by our own server function. CoinMarketCap therefore sees only the request from our server, not your IP address, no browser type and no reference to the page you opened. Your browser talks only to gegenbitcoin.com.

The result of that request is cached on our server for at most ten minutes and delivered identically to every visitor. No assignment to a person takes place, and none is technically provided for.

4. Fonts

All fonts are loaded from our own server. There is no request to Google Fonts or any other external provider. Your IP address is not transmitted to anyone outside the delivery described above.

5. What explicitly does NOT happen

No cookies. No reach or visitor measurement, not even anonymous. No contact form, no sign-up, no newsletter. No advertising networks, no recognition features, no profiling. No disclosure to third parties for advertising purposes. Should a counter be set up later, it will be named here before it runs.

6. Transfer to the USA

Cloudflare, Inc. is based in the USA; delivery runs over a worldwide server network. Cloudflare bases the processing on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. The USA does not offer a level of protection that corresponds to the GDPR in every respect; in particular, access by authorities there is not excluded to the same degree.

You have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to processing that is based on a legitimate interest. Please use the e-mail address given above.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, as a rule the authority of your habitual residence.
